I recently came across an online project, that will “ estimate and visualize sentiment for short, incomplete text snippet”.  Tweet Sentiment Visualization presents a visualization of basic emotional properties in a text. Focusing on Twitter, you simply add in a keyword and a detailed visual analysis is created, using Russell Model of Emotional Effect 1.

The following is a screenshot, using the keyword, Stitchlily, which is my Twitter handle. I am glad to see I am usually pleasant!

You can discover the sentiments of a keyword according to sentiment, heatmap, timeline, tweets, map etc. If you are researching a particular topic, it is great to be able to get the sentiment of the tweets, on a given day or time.

Another great visualization tool to add to my digital toolbox!
